WaveShop - free tool for editing audio files

WaveShop - it's free open source software for editing audio material. The developers claim that their first product is different from many competitors nondestructive approach to audio processing and minimizes the chance of an unanticipated change in the source file. This means that if you make minor adjustments, you can avoid the modification of the file and keep the original sound quality.

The application supports the most popular audio formats (including WAV, AIFF, AU, AVR, CAFF, FLAC, HTK, IFF, MAT4, MAT5, MPC, OGG, PAF, PVF, RAW, RF64, SD2, SDF, VOC, W64, WVE and 6I). After selecting the desired subject, the contents are displayed in the main window WaveShop in the familiar waves and you can scale the image, select individual sites, as well as delete, copy and paste parts of audio files at the click of a button.

The structure includes a number of additional WaveShop effects such as «Fade In» and «Fade Out», tools «Reverse» and «Invert», means for processing and amplification, and more. The application provides the ability to work with the individual channels of audio file. And the option «Change Format» will save the file to your preferred format with changes in certain key parameters such as sample rate, channels, etc.
